Moving Helpers Wanted, February 15th

To help an 82 year old man who has been coming to Open Door Soup Kitchedn for the last 15 years.  He is moving from his apartment in Brookline to a Senior Citizens apartment about 1/4 of a mile away. He has minimal furniture, mostly boxes and clothing. If you can help, please contact Fr. Michael at gmkon49@aol.com.

 

Byzantine Chant Opportunity

Any student wishing to chant or to learn how to chant in English is welcome to join the left choir on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings.  Please contact Paul Lundberg if you are interested

 

Chanters Wanted

Ø      Fr. Evangelos Georgiadis is seeking a regular Sunday chanter for his parish in Fall River, MA. For more information, call 508-672-2121.

Ø      Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Pensacola, Florida is seeking a Holy Cross/Hellenic College student as chanter for Holy Week 2008.  The student should be able to chant in both the Greek and English languages.  Annunciation Church will provide the student with a stipend and his transportation fees. All interested students may contact Father Panagiotis Papanikolaou, the Parish Priest, at the Church office on 850-433-2662.

Ø      Two or more Byzantine chanters, with ability to chant in Greek, for wedding at St. Spyridon's Cathedral in Worcester on May 25, 2008.  For compensation and other details please call 781-801-6028.  Ask for Subdeacon Nicholas or Michelle.

Ø      Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, FL needs a Holy Week chanter, from Lazarus Saturday through the Agape Vespers service on Pascha.  Duties include chanting services in both Greek and English, and helping with the Holy Friday youth retreat.  Transportation, housing and a stipend will be provided.  If you are interested, please contact Fr. HCHC Yearbook, 2007-2008

The Office of Student Life is recruiting students to help with the HCHC Yearbook, 2007-2008. Students and spouses with experience may be considered for paid positions. Boston Theological Institute-Costas Consultation in Global Mission

Friday & Saturday, February 8th & 9 th

The Costas Consultation in Global Mission keynote speaker this year is Albert Borgmann. He will be presenting on Technology and Mission, in the Photonics Center, Boston University, Friday, February 8th, 3:30 - 6 pm. A dinner will follow, and workshops are Saturday, 9 am - 12 noon.

Blood Drive

Thursday, February 14th, 10 am - 3pm

Sign up now for the Valentine's Day Blood Drive! The Boston Children's Hospital Bloodmobile will be parked next to the library to give all a chance to participate in this life-saving ministry.
